Highly prevalent in arable land, neglected areas, along roadsides, and in gardens. Blooms from June to October. An annual plant, occasionally biennial, native to the area.
Identification
Abundant pale yellow flowers give way to seedheads adorned with unbranched hairs. Bluish-green leaves, with wavy edges and clasping the stem, vary in lobing and have pointed bases. The hollow stems contain milky-white latex. Height ranges from 20 to 150 cm, exhibiting variability.
