Meadow Buttercup

Highly prevalent along roadsides and in fields. Blooms from May to September. A perennial plant native to the region.

Identification

The yellow flowers consist of five petals with horizontally spreading, hairy sepals. Lower leaves are deeply divided into 5-7 lobes and are long-stalked, while stem leaves lack stalks. The plant grows erect and may have some hairiness, without runners. It typically reaches heights of up to 70cm.
