Abundant in areas of waste ground, road edges, fields, and gardens. Blooming period: June to October. Perennial. Indigenous.
Identification
The flowers are greenish-white, later followed by reddish-brown seedheads. The large basal leaves are broad at the base with slightly undulating edges. Seeds can remain viable in the ground for up to 70 years. Height ranges from 50 to 100 cm.
